Ensure that you and the Conference and Events Sales Team:
• Deal with all enquiries in a courteous and professional manner and display a clear and comprehensive knowledge of the hotel, its facilities and details of other hotels in the Group, taking every opportunity to upsell. Adhering to the companies operating standard and in line with the BDRC criteria
• Record full and accurate details of bookings in accordance with hotel
• Make clients aware of the full terms of business, including the cancellations policy and the need to confirm bookings prior to arrival.
• Conduct Client “show rounds” in a professional manner and take every opportunity to
• Record guests’ requirements accurately and ensure that these are communicated to operational
• Deal with the booking of third party services in accordance with Company and hotel
• Have knowledge of, and operate, the hotel’s cash handling and security
• Deal with complaints/problems politely and make every effort to resolve these. If you cannot resolve them refer to your Line Manager
• Fully competent in use of Sales Force, Opera & Microsoft Excel
• Operating knowledge of other departments
• Previous experience in a hotel sales and events office at senior level
• Maintain a bookings strategy to ensure that maximum yield is achieved
• Develop, implement and maintain a strategy to ensure regular competitor analysis is carried out and that an appropriate response is made to maintain and, ideally, increase market share.
• Driving business market segments such as: Conference, Banqueting, Weddings, Corporate Group, Sporting Groups and Special Events.
• Set monthly Sales Conversion Targets
• To empower the Sales team to meet and exceed Monthly Sales Conversion Targets
• Support the Delivery of Revenue to meet and exceed the monthly budget, to include: Room hire, Conference & Events Accommodation, Conference Food & Beverage & Weddings Revenue
